Baseball Leagues

Little Sluggers

For players age 4.  This is an instructional clinic to introduce the boys and girls to the game of baseball. The first half of the season teams practice on the fundamentals of the game. The second half of the year they play tee ball games against other teams.

Tee Ball

For players age 5 and 6.  All of the players on a team bat every inning and play in the field of play.  Players bat off of a tee and bat until everyone gets up in an inning. Scores of each game are not kept.  Halfway through the season, the league switches from hitting off a tee to a "coaches pitch" format.

MAP

For players age 7.  The format of this division is a "coaches pitch" format. All of the players on a team bat every inning and play in the field of play.  Coaches pitch to their own team. Every player gets up to bat once per inning. Scores of each game are not kept.  Halfway through the season, the league switches to a 3 outs per inning format.

Farm

For players age 8.  This is the first year that children pitch to one another under modified pitching rules (5 balls for a walk, 6 balls when bases are loaded).  After 5 walks in an inning, the coach has the option of changing pitchers or asking the opponents team coach to pitch to their players.  No base stealing and no bunting is permitted.  Ten players alternate in the field of play.  Everyone bats in the line-up.  Players bat until three outs are made.  Pitchers rest rules are applied here to ensure the health of the child. Scores of each game and standings are kept.  At the end of the regular season, playoffs and a championship is held.

Minors

For players age 9.  This age group is introduced to modified stealing rules (certain bases under certain conditions).  Bunting is allowed.  Standard ball and strike counts apply (3 strikes, 4 balls).  Nine players alternate in the field of play at standard baseball positions.  Everyone bats in the line-up.  Scores of each game and standings are kept.  At the end of the regular season, playoffs and a championship is held.

Majors

For players age 10 and 11.  Standard base stealing rules apply (no restrictions).  Bunting is allowed.  Nine players alternate in the field of play at standard baseball positions.  Everyone bats in the line-up.  Pitchers can pitch six innings in a game but no more than six per week.  Scores of each game and standings are kept.  At the end of the regular season, playoffs and a championship is held.
